FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

All playrooms are different, and these differences (size of the space, play elements included, etc.) factor into the final cost. We break our pricing down into three buckets:
• Design & project management
• Cost of the play elements
• Installation labor & materials
The average range for projects is $8,000 - $25,000.
-
Absolutely! As parents to neurodiverse kiddos, we understand that play is critical to emotional regulation. If your children have any unique sensory needs, we want to know about that to make sure the playroom is the perfect fit.
-
We get this question a lot. In reality, it all depends on your family’s situation and preferences. But here are some things to consider:
• Elements can be uninstalled and taken with you!
• Your family can enjoy the benefits of the playroom every single day until the move
• It could increase the resale value of your home

Sometimes all you’re looking for is a little moment of play. We work with you to find the perfect space in your home - even if that space is a nook or a corner - and create a design that encourages your child to play and be free. On the flip side, sometimes you have a huge bonus room that you don’t know how to tackle, or a garage that could double as a play area. We work on those spaces, too!
Clients often ask us whether their ceilings are too high or too low or if a quirky angle will work in their playroom. We have experience transforming spaces of all sizes into the playroom of your family’s dream.
-
Our playrooms are geared toward the age of your children - with the hope that the playroom is able to grow with them. We’ve designed for families with just one baby looking for space to grow to a gym for two teenage boys. The beauty of open-ended playroom designs is that the foundation of space allows for this kind of flexibility. What works as the perfect playroom for your preschooler today could turn into your teenager’s dream basement down the road.

We cap monkey bar installations at 9’ high ceilings. If your ceilings are higher than 9 feet a contractor can build a lower frame or structure upon which monkey bars can be installed. We love using 4-6” foam mats under monkey bars to provide safe, soft landings. We also use a foam pit landing zone under monkey bars.
Climbing wall height varies based on your children' s ages and skill levels. In general, a 6’ to 8’ high climbing wall is plenty high for younger children (ages 5 - 10). Older kids ages 10 -14 can handle higher walls, up to 10’, of course this is based on each unique child and up to the parents’ discretion. Whatever height wall you choose, you must include adequate floor padding for safety reasons. The industry standard for padding under a climbing wall is 1” of foam for every foot of vertical fall height. We love using 24” deep foam pits for adequate padding and maximum fun!
